Strength / Resistance training has an important part to play in any training program for a number of different goals. Here at Team Transform we put a big emphasis on the importance of strength training to achieve results, as the health benefits are vast. As well as the obvious benefit of increased strength and muscle size/tone, resistance training is extremely important for weight loss! The greater muscle mass your body has, the more calories you will burn at rest, how good is that!? It is also vital for body composition changes, which can in-turn improve your confidence and self-esteem.
It might not be on everyone’s priorities list in terms of health and fitness goals, but resistance training will also aid in things such as; Improved posture, improved mobility and balance, as well as decreasing risk of injury. The increase in strength and mobility will make everyday tasks easier, from doing simple house hold choirs, walking up stairs, carrying shopping bags, to playing with your children. Who wouldn’t want life to be easier?
With the great range of equipment and exercises on offer at Team Transform, there is a wide variety in the sessions to ensure you are getting results whilst not getting tired of the same thing.
